The never ending list is topped by Bollywood movies. Humpty Sharma ki dulhania, dostana are some names from the top of my mind. Als, comedy shows stereotyping the transgender community in the name of “comedy”

The members of queer community are stereotyped as sex obsessed.E.g “SOTY” portrayed a highly stereotypical character out of a Gay dean, even after the director himself belongs to LGBTQ+ Community.
LGBTQ characters are always shown lusting over the male protagonist.
Also, if in a movie a character is a gay or a lesbian, that’s become their only indentity in the movie.

The plotline where that women “become queer” due to bad experiences with men is tired and overdone.
It’s not accurate and it makes it seem like queerness is a choice.

Bollywood has been portraying homosexuality as a bottom subculture in the hierarchy, which was a case in India but certainly, situations have been changed and it’s high time for Bollywood to accept that and break the typical stereotypical character of a trans begging, clapping, or even having the particular accent.
