Man’s World is the name of the web series that has made quite a spur on the internet. It talks about the most prominent issue of Gender Equality. One that we in India have been grappling with for decades and centuries. With UN urging its member countries to make it a priority and even the McKinsey report saying that it is only with gender equality that India’s economic growth may be possible.

The webseries Man’s World, a multi-starrer web-series, released its trailer which has got everybody talking about the issue loud and clear on the internet. The Yash Raj Films product has stars like Parineeti Chopra, Kalki Koechlin, Richa Chadda and Bhumi Padnekar among many others and it’s an initiative to support “Goal 5 of the United Nations’ Global Goals for Sustainable Development. Goal 5 is about achieving Gender Equality and empowering all girls and women, everywhere,” as written in the description of the trailer in the YouTube channel of ">Y-Films.

“We are very privileged and honoured to have had a chance to work with such an incredible cast of supremely talented actors who will hopefully help us get this message out there! Hoping our viewers extend the same love and enjoy the series,” said Ashish Patil, vice president, Y-Films, Brand Partnerships & Talent Management, reports Firstpost.

The trailer of the unconventional show deals with the story of a man named Kiran who is fed up of feminism and women being leverage on many cases like when they have menstrual cramps etc. Kiran prays to god to exchange the roles of men and women which leads to an upside-down world with women behaving as men and men behaving as women.

“The crux of the matter is that you and I and all of us must practise gender equality all the time in every context without talking too much about it. It’s something that must exist in your life as a matter of fact,” said Pritish Nandy, also part of the show, states Indian Express.

The series, made in association with British filmmaker Richard Curtis and his team at Project Everyone, includes three episodes which are set to premiere on the Y-films channel of YRF on October 1, October 6 and October 8 respectively.
