“I have grown up with sweet memories of a non-communal surrounding. So these conversations around citizenship based on religious identity hurt me a lot,” says Gul Bano.
“We are from Banaras but my mother has been living in Delhi since 1984. She has all documents like ration card, pension, voter ID card but she doesn’t have a birth certificate, is she a refugee then?” says Vandana.
Women want a change. They want a better, inclusive and safer world where they have an equal opportunity to the benefits of social, political and economic policies.
