Patel is ranked world number 2 owing to her Silver Medal win for the country in the Individual Category at the PTT Table Tennis Championship held in Thailand in the year 2011.
This is the first time Hansini made an appearance in the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) junior circuit event and has successfully managed to win hearts.
