Prime Accused In Kerala Gold Smuggling Case, Swapna Suresh Released From Jail Today

Swapna Suresh will now be able to walk out of the jail as earlier she had secured bail in cases filed by the customs department and Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Suresh also reported that Vijayan’s close connection with the previous consul general of UAE and about all the illegal money transactions.
The court granted the bail on various conditions like surrender of passport, bond worth Rs.1 lakh, two solvent sureties, and an undertaking to stay put within Ernakulam district.
Suresh’s name came up in a gold scam when the customs department seized 30 kg of gold from diplomatic baggage at Thiruvananthapuram airport on 5 July 2020.
