Raveena Tandon has made a name in the Indian film industry as a well-known actor, model and producer. Despite being the daughter of renowned director Ravi Tandon, the actor proved her mettle as an actor in her own right.

Not only an actor, but Raveena Tandon was also a huge trendsetter of her times. Her yellow saree in song Tip Tip Barsa Paani from the film Mohra was a huge hit. Not to forget, the song itself recognised her as one of the most influential female actors in the 90s. Recently, Tandon was last seen in 2021 Netflix thriller series Aranyak in which she stars as a cop. Raveena Tandon is currently shooting for her upcoming film Ghud Chadi which also includes Sanjay Dutt, Aruna Irani, Parth Samthaan and Khushali Kumar among others. She will be next seen in KGF: Chapter 2 along with Dutt which will release on April 14.

1. Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence

This film directed by Kaplana Lajmi earned the actor the distinguished National Film Award for Best Actress. She played the role of a battered wife named Durga. The plot unfolds in Assam where Durga a lower caste girl is married to an ill-tempered man. It is the story of how Durga reclaims her life and saves her daughter.

2. Mohra

Mohra is a 1994 film directed by Rajiv Rai and include actors Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah along with Raveena Tandon among others. It features Raveena Tandon as journalist Roma Singh, who along with her boss Mr Jindal (Shah), frees Vishal (Shetty) from jail. It's not long enough that Vishal realises that he is just a pawn for Mr Jindal as he starts working for him.

3. Maatr

Tandon stars as a school teacher who is sexually assaulted along with her daughter by a politician's son and his friends. When her daughter dies in the incident, Vidya (Tandon) seeks revenge. Maatr was released in the year 2017 and is directed by Ashtar Sayed. The film also stars Madhur Mittal, Divya Jagdale, Alisha Khan and Saheem Khan in prominent roles.

4. Laadla

Remake of Kannada film Anuraga Aralithu, Laadla follows the story of Sheetal (Sridevi) who married a factory worker Raju (Anil Kapoor) to teach him a lesson. However, Raju is in love with Kajal (Raveena Tandon). As the story unravels, Sheetal too, falls for Raju in this 1994-Hindi drama film directed by Raj Kanwar.

5. Sandwich

2006 comedy-drama film Sandwich displays the story of Shekhar/Sher Singh who juggles his life between his two wives, Nisha and Sweety and two twin sons. The film stars actor Govinda as Shekhar/Sher Singh, Raveena Tandon as Nisha and Mahima Chaudhry as Sweety among others. The film keeps its audience occupied with entertainment with its interesting plot twist and hilarious comic timings.

6. Satta

2003-film Satta is a Hindi-drama film directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. The film follows the story of Anuradha (Raveena Tandon) who relocates to Mumbai and marries an aspiring Chief Minister, Vivek (Sameer Dharmadhikari). When Vivek is put behind bars on account of murder, she is expected to take his place in the elections as she finds herself stuck between politicians, policemen, gangsters and businessmen.

7. Andaz Apna Apna 

Amar (Aamir Khan) and Prem (Salman Khan), who hail from middle-class families, attempt to marry the only daughter of a millionaire, Raveena. However, their paths cross with gangster Teja and the movie takes some humourous turn of events. Andaz Apna Apna released in 1994. It includes Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor and Paresh Rawal in prominent roles.
