The minor was found by a team of police while she was near the Vasai railway station area on August 3. Initially, she wasn’t able to share any information as she appeared to be under some kind of trauma.

Dholpur SP Keshar Singh Shekhawat said, “It appears that the girl was embarrassed or ashamed because of which she took her own life.”

After searching for over a week, the 55-year-old inspector reportedly raped the 13-year-old girl over a period of two months.

As per the police, the accused rented a room for the stay of the woman. Later, in the same room, the accused raped the woman on multiple occasions.
