Johnny vs Amber was a controversial case which became popular worldwide and had divided opinions, and the new show intends to shed light on both sides of the defamation trial.

Ellen Barkin, Johnny Depp’s ex-girlfriend, claims the actor drugged her before sex. She alleged that the star overindulged in alcohol during their initial sexual encounter. She also said he was controlling and gave her Quaalude.

The judges said,  “the appeal has no real prospect of success and that there is no other compelling reason for it to be heard.”
