The bride, Hiroo Devi got married to Gomaram, a resident of Marudi on April 21. After the rituals, she informed her in-laws that she wanted to appear for her B.Sc third-year examination.

Both the families were taken to a counselling centre where the groom was advised and convinced to carry on with his newlywed. No case was registered relating to this incident
