The admission process for nursery children usually begins in the last week of November, but the procedure this year had been delayed due to the pandemic situation. Previously, few reports claimed that the Delhi government was planning to skip the nursery admissions this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the schools being shut for over nine months. However, Education Minister Manish Sisodia had rubbished such reports.

“Till date, there is no plan to scrap nursery admissions this year. Sure we are late due to the pandemic, but admissions will happen,” Sisodia had said. Last week, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal assured that nursery admission in the national capital will begin soon and all COVID-19 protocols will be kept in place.
