Mithali Raj Cricket Records: Indian cricketer Mithali Raj has broken two records just recently. She became the First Woman Cricketer to score 7,000 runs in ODIs, as announced by BCCI on 14 March. On Friday, the Indian skipper achieved another major milestone as she became the second women’s cricketer to complete 10, 000 international runs.

The Woman in Blue, who has had an illustrious career in cricket, is often regarded as one of the best players of the white-ball in women's cricket. The right-handed opening batter holds several records in women's cricket which she earned in her over two decades long journey.

Here are Mithali Raj Cricket Records:

2002- In her third Test, then 19-year-old Mithali Raj broke record of world's highest individual Test score of 209*, set by Karen Rolton. 

2005- She became the highest individual score by an Indian Woman Cricketer in the Women's World Cup in the match against New Zealand.

2015- Mithali Raj was honoured with the Wisden India Cricketers of the Year. She became the first female cricketer to win the award.

2017- Mithali is the 5th woman cricketer and first ever Indian player to have an overall score over 1,000 World Cup runs.

2018- The batswoman became the first Indian cricketer to score 2000 runs in Twenty20 Internationals (T20I).

2018- Mithali secured the record for the highest number of ODIs played by a female cricketer (204), surpassing her contemporaries England’s Charlotte Edwards (191) and  India’s veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami with 178 matches.

2019- The Indian skipper Mithali Raj became the first woman to finish 20 years in cricket. She played her first-ever ODI for India way back in June 1999 versus Ireland.

2021- Raj became the First Woman Cricketer To Score 7,000 Runs In ODIs. She went past the 7,000-run mark during her partnership with Punam Raut in the ongoing fourth ODI in Lucknow.

2021- Raj holds the honour of being the all-time leading run-scorer for India in all formats.

2021- The 38-year-old player is also the first player to lead India in the highest number of  matches in ODI and T20I.
