Who Is K Kavitha? MLC Urged Centre To Procure Paddy From Telangana Farmers

Who Is K Kavitha
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Member of Legislative Council (MLC) K Kavitha said that the Union government has reneged on their promise of buying paddy from the farmers of Telangana and also retorted that the government should not create a situation of confrontation again with the farmers by refusing to purchase paddy.

The MLC speaking to the media said, “Paddy procurement from Telangana is nil. We demand the Union government’s support for Telangana farmers. Food Corporation of India doesn’t have a proper procurement policy. We request FCI to release a yearly calendar so that states can direct farmers to sow crops accordingly and that there should be uniform procurement.”

The TRS MLC, who is the daughter of the state’s Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, said if the Union government fails to attend to the situation of the farmers in Telangana, they would be forced to stage a protest in Delhi.
