Princess Beatrice Baby: The granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday. The baby will be 12th great-grandchild of the Queen and 11th in the line to the British throne, Buckingham Palace announced.

Property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Beatrice’s first born weighs six pounds and two ounces. She was reportedly born at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London on Saturday. Beatrice, 33, is the daughter of Prince Andrew. She is also the stepmother of Mapelli Mozzi’s son from his previous relationship . The royals in thier statement from Monday said, “The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news. The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.”

The statement added, “Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.”

Prince Beatrice also shared the news on her official Twitter handle saying that she is delighted by the arrival of her daughter. She thanked the midwife team and the hospital staff for their “wonderful care”. Her younger sister Princess Eugene had recently given birth to her child. After Megan Markle and Prince Harry had their second child, Lilibet in June, Beatrice moved from 9th to 10th in the line to the throne.

The Princess is not a full-time working royal. She is the vice-president of partnerships and strategy at Afiniti, an software firm focused on artificial intelligence. She is the patron to many charities as per reports. Her husband Edoardo is a millionaire and son of former Olympic skier Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi and Nikki Williams-Ellis.

The couple married each other in a secret ceremony in July attended by the Queen and her husband Prince Phillip. Their planned wedding ceremony was reportedly postponed due to the pandemic.
