“Disrupting fund flow constrains the capabilities of terrorists and reduces their ability to execute attacks,” PM Narendra Modi said while honouring the valiant CBI officers. He was addressing the sixth Global Focal Point Conference on Asset Recovery and 21st conference of CBI and state anti-corruption and vigilance bureaux attended by 34 countries, as reported by Sahara Samay.

Nina, a 1989-batch IPS officer, hails from Patna and is popularly known as Lady “Singham”. She has proved her daredevilry not once but many times in the past. She has been in-charge of some of the most horrific and mysterious cases. Right now is in-charge of investigations in the Sheena Bora murder and the Chhota Rajan case. At the same time looking after the Special Crime Unit.

Married to a senior Rajasthan bureaucrat Rohit Singh, Nina has a Master’s degree from Harvard. She is so talented that CBI Director Anil Singh chose her himself. She has previously won the President’s medal last year again for her distinguished services.

Apart from the notorious criminal cases that Nina has in her hand, she has been particularly sensitive towards women and has created many security systems to empathize with them. “During her tenure as Member Secretary at the State Women’s Commission in Rajasthan, she undertook various remedial steps for the security of women. She prepared the administrative structure of the Commission, which is still functioning successfully,” as stated in the Indian Express.

“Public hearings programmes were initiated by Singh, due to which aggrieved women are now provided with on-the-spot solutions,” said Mukta Arora, coordinator of the commission with Nina.
