Nicki Minaj, the American singer and rapper's, recent Tweet  came as a blessing for some. She agreed to help out her fans by  paying their student loans, tuition fees and other college expenses.

She tweeted, saying, “Show me straight A's that I can verify w/ur school and I'll pay it. Who wants to join THAT contest?!?!," she wrote on May 6th. "Dead serious. Shld I set it up?"

Fans have been tweeting back at her ever since she put up the post. One fan asked her for $1000 to pay for three of her summer classes, to which Nicki replied, “That’s it? I’ll send it tmrw. dm me ur bank info babe. Next!” Another fan asked for a camera for his audiovisual class, to which she said, “Of course. How much is the camera?”

In this burst of generosity through Twitter, Nicki has promised to help around 30 fans if they have proof of their grades and enrollment in college.

Nicki has over 20 million followers on Twitter. She had a competition where fans had to make their own videos for her song for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas and see her live. However, one of her fans replied to her and said she’d rather have someone help to pay her tuition. That’s when Minaj agreed and this ‘competition’ started. She took requests from fans for about an hour and then said that she might do this again in a month.

She ended her generosity streak by saying, "It's been fun. Let me make those payments tomorrow, then see if I have any money left. I'll do some more in a month or two.”

On Sunday, May 7th, students started seeing the cash flowing into their bank accounts. Many fans thanked her on twitter for her generosity, and put up screenshots of the money that were deposited into their account.
