New Update

Cheers to Indian women cricketers as today they secured a place in the ICC Women’s World Cup semifinal after dominating New Zealand in a game that was in favour of Indian squad from the very beginning.

New Zealand very easily lost their early wickets and could not chase 266-run against India. Captain Mithali Raj was as usual outstanding in the field and batted her sixth hundred. She lonely made a solid run for India to go ahead in the game. Her partnerships with Harmanpreet Kaur and Veda Krishnamurthy, who scored fifties, led the team score an unbeatable 265/7 against New Zealand.

It was a desperate game to not to miss. The do or die match for the Indian women’s cricket team paid off as the team showed a brilliant batting and field work.  Great bowling from Gayakwad who dominated and ended the opponent's future in the ongoing tournament with a five-for. Finally, India won by 186 runs and New Zealand had gone down poorly.

Now that India goes to the semifinal, most likely they will face off Australia in a fight to win the finals.
