Woman’s Stabbed Body Found In Vashi Mall, Mumbai on August 3. Reportedly, the locals spotted a sack producing a pungent smell following which the Vashi police found the deceased’s body from behind the mall. The woman’s body has not been unidentified as of now.

The Vashi police recovered the body, which was dumped in a sack, from behind the Inorbit Mall, under a bridge in Navi Mumbai on Tuesday. Reportedly, the body had multiple knife stabs on the neck and body.
The incident came to light after some of the locals informed the police about a strong pungent smell coming from a sack lying under the bridge behind the mall near Vashi railway station. The police immediately rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
The Vashi police registered a case of murder of the unidentified woman and investigations are underway to get hold of the accused. Two teams comprising two police inspectors, four inspectors, two assistant police inspectors, and 25 staff have been put in the investigation.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, an officer stated that the woman who seemed to be in her 3os was found dead on Monday. She was wearing a sari with white, blue and green floral designs and a white blouse. He urged anyone with information concerning the same to contact the Vashi police.
The officer added that the assigned team is looking into various missing complaints from Thane, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Raigad. The team is also looking for CCTV footage for hints.
The body is reportedly suspected to be around four days old. The post mortem is awaited and the result is expected to be out by tomorrow. The report will confirm if there was any sexual abuse on the woman.
