Will Spend Quality Time When He Returns: Washington Sundar's Sister Shailaja After India's Test Win

The Indian Cricket team marked a historic win today at The Gabba in Brisbane winning against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar series. India sealed the series victory with today's win and retained the trophy. While all the team members shone with their performances, Washington Sundar's name was highlighted. His 62 runs in the third day of the series came as hope for the team's win.In an interview, the all rounder's sister, Shailaja Sundar praised her brother for his amazing composure throughout the game.

She added that he had prepared extremely well before the games and hence he was able to perform beautifully. Washington Sundar's family is eagerly waiting for his return. Shailaja Sundar remarked that they were going to spend a quality time together on his return as he has been away for 6 months now.

Prithi Narayanan, wife of cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin, also celebrated India’s series win 2-1 on Twitter, but not without a smart quip. Referencing the sledging that had occurred between Australia captain Tim Paine and her husband earlier in the series, where the former had challenged the latter to a game in Gabba, Narayanan wrote: “SEE YOU AT THE GABBA MATE.” Read about it here.
