Google's Share In Spreading Awareness

Google is collaborating with the health ministries of countries to update people on coronavirus information. Right since coronavirus has hit Wuhan in China, medical experts have advised washing hands frequently as a precaution against the virus. On March 19, Google dedicated its doodle to the handwashing pioneer Dr Ignaz Semmelweis. He was a German- Hungarian physician and scientist known as the 'saviour of mothers'. He was the first to propose the concept of handwashing.

Google also cancelled its most popular tradition of April Fools' Day this year and said that it empathizes with the people battling the virus. Google spends around 40 per cent of its annual budget on April fools' pranks and content. Its notification read- Google will “take the year off from that tradition out of respect for all those fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.” We love you, Google!
