An actress and singer, Khan’s complaint was filed at Oshiwara police station in Mumbai against a 23-year-old woman who reportedly hails from Hyderabad. Police have identified the accused as an MBA student.
According to a TOI report, the accused woman had created a fake profile on Instagram and was sending vulgar message to Zara Khan. Her motive is still unknown. She has been booked under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Information Technology (IT) Act.

As per the police, the accused was sent a notice on Friday. “The officer who had gone to give the notice found that she was not responding properly. She was not ready to come only. Medical treatment is yet to be done, but she looked mentally disturbed. She didn’t react like a normal person,” the officer added.
Further elaborating on the accused’s mental health condition, the police said, “Before she could reveal any other crucial information, we learnt that Saravar is mentally unstable, which is why we issued a notice under Section 41(A) of the CRPC, which states that appearance before a police officer,” said the Inspector.
