Mysuru Rape Case: After gathering the technical data in the case, the police found leads with the help of the mobile phone locations. They have tracked down five men and are yet to make arrests.
As per reports, the rape survivor’s male friend told the police that the accused men took video of the rape and threatened to make it viral if the couple told anyone about what happened.
As liquor bottles were found at the spot, the police are searching and investigating at the local liquor shops. According to reports, four bikes parked at the side of the road on Tuesday night were seen by a witness.
Home Minister Araga Jnanendra responded to the attacks made by congress and said, “The rape happened there (Mysuru) but the Congress is trying to rape the Home Minister. They (Congress) are gaining political mileage out of the incident. This is a heinous act and under humanitarian circumstances, they should be demanding early detection of the case. People are watching and they will decide.”
A student and her male friend were visiting the foothills of Chamundi Hills in Mysuru when they were surrounded by a group of goons who demanded money from them. When the couple denied giving them any money, the group thrashed the man and beat him up. Two men of the group raped the student and fled the spot. According to the report, the accused also made a video of the sexual assault.
The survivor hails from outside Karnataka. She is living as a paying guest in Mysuru. According to reports, the survivor is yet to recover from the trauma and injuries of the incident but is in a better condition than Wednesday. Police have collected the cell location data for the area around the scene of crime.
