Some powerful runs, including goals by Gurjit Kaur (7th, 9th minutes), Navjot Kaur (9th) and Lalremsiami (38th) led India to its victory. This is the Indian women’s fourth Asia Cup final. They won the title in 2004 and finished runners-up in 1999 and 2009.

Captain Rani Rampal's team has showed a stellar performance since the beginning of the tournament with back-to-back wins. They even beat their rival-to-be in the next game, China, 4-1 in the league stage just a couple of days ago.
