Jamshedpur-based NGO worker Anamika Majumdar has become the first crorepati of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 9'. She had exhausted all her lifelines but still hoped to take back Rs 1 crore.
The 41-year-old homemaker told PTI that she had been striving hard to get to the "Hot Seat" since year 2000. She also added that she is planning to reserve a major portion of her winning amount for her NGO, Faith in India.
Her NGO works towards the elevation of women and impoverished children of Jharkhand. It aims to educate these groups to help them build a better life.

According to an interview by Indian Express, Anamika is very passionate about music. She mentioned that she is a commerce graduate who wanted to do something big with her life, but had to marry early because of parental pressure.
She is planning to reserve a major portion of her winning amount for her NGO, Faith in India
She also told Indian Express that she wants to dedicate her win to her ‘peepal tree’ who she has telepathic conversations with every day. “The tree has been my best friend all these years and has been my constant support," she says.

In an interview with PTI, this mother of two says, "I participated this time in the show because of the prize money. But I had not imagined I would get an opportunity to play the game...I am going to spend most of the money on my NGO. I want to do some constructive work. Mr Bachchan also asked me to invest the winning amount tactfully. I will follow his advice. "
She adds, "We try to minimise their problems as much as we can."
