Rapes in India never seem to cease. And the brutality of it seems to get gross with every incident. Police are examining shocking details that suggest the 30 year law student - who was raped five days ago in Ernakulam district of Kerala - was injured brutally, and that her intestines might have been pulled out by a sharp object. The report is awaited but this incident is already been called Kerala's nirbhaya.

30-year-old student, hails from Perumbavoor in Ernakulam district which is known to be predominantly dalit. This is leading reports that there could be caste angle to the incident.

The student's  bdy was found on Thursday evening in a badly damaged state, and she was raped before her murder. The incident happened inside her home near an isolated stretch at Vattolippidi canal bund near Perumbavoor.

According to the police and autopsy report, the woman was a victim of a cruel sexual assault. There were at least 30 injuries on her body, including on her private parts, even intestines of the deceased had come out in the attack with a sharp object. Also two deep stab wounds on chest and some major injuries were on the head, back of the neck, chest and stomach were found.

Five days after the brutal rape and murder, Kerala police have taken one person into custody.

Meanwhile, Women's Rights activists slammed the state government over the lack of security to women and Dalits in the state.

The protesters urged to The Government to ensure the protection of women and Dalits in the state. Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy has assured that strongest action will taken against the culprits who is behind this cruel act.
