Brutal Murder Of Two-Year-Old Girl In Aligarh Horrifies Nation
Two men have been arrested in Aligarh on Wednesday for allegedly murdering a two and a half-year-old girl, Twinkle Sharma by strangulating her. The body of the little girl was found by a garbage collector on June 2 near a garbage pile in Tappal district, Aligarh, who then informed the police about it. The police have identified the two accused in the murder as Zahid and Aslam and have stated that this is a case of a financial dispute. The two accused had loaned a sum of Rs. 10,000 to the parents of the girl, and allegedly killed the daughter on not being repaid.
While there have been horrifying details of alleged violence committed on the child, the post mortem report hasn’t clarified these details except the fact that she wasn’t raped before the murder.
The Aligarh Police tweeted that the post-mortem report has ruled out rape. The victim was strangled over a financial dispute. Two persons- Zahid and Aslam were arrested and sent to jail.
“The post-mortem report mentions a death by strangulation as the cause. The claims circulating on social media that the victim’s eyes were gouged out and her arm amputated are also false. Also, the claim that acid was poured on her body, is untrue. No such thing has occurred. The post-mortem report has been shared with the family of the victim,” stated Akash Kulhary, SSP Aligarh to Alt News.
The girl’s father works as a laborer and the mother is a homemaker, TOI reports. The local residents of the area blocked the traffic in the town and are pressurizing the police to take swift action in the case. The girl’s grandfather told TOI that she was playing outside her home before she suddenly disappeared. “We all started looking for her and after we failed to locate her, we lodged a police complaint,” he said.
