Government wants to focus on women entrepreneurs, promote their efforts: Ramesh Abhishek

The government is focussed on promoting women entrepreneurship in a big way says Ramesh Abhishek, Secretary of the Department of Industry and Policy Promotion. Abhishek highlights the schemes at work already to support women entrepreneurs at an early stage but invites more feedback on what specifically remain key challenges.

Both key campaigns of the government, Make In India and StartUp India are making efforts to work with more women entrepreneurs he explains. Abhishek adds that the government is in the process of rolling out new skills and training modules to help entrepreneurs tap a free source of learning.
