I am going to have a cabinet that looks like America, and 50 per cent of America is women, right?

Yes. You've guessed it right. America might end up following Canada's path of a gender balanced cabinet, ie equal number of men and women.

There are a lot more interesting, progressive and much awaited gendered changes that are being expected from the woman who holds a lifelong history of advocating for women's rights. Here are a few things she has to say about a few important issues for American women:

Too often, these are called women’s issues. Well, I am a proud lifelong fighter for women’s issues, because I firmly believe what’s good for women is good for America. … As far as I’m concerned, any issue that affects women’s lives and futures is a women’s issue

On abortion rights:

We're always going to argue about abortion. It's a hard choice and it's controversial, and that's why I'm pro-choice, because I want people to make their own choices

I'm proud to stand with Planned Parenthood. I'll never stop fighting to protect the ability and right of every woman in this country to make her own health decisions

On sexism in media portrayals:

Whether a woman's running for office or she's supporting her husband who's running for office and she gets criticised for wearing open-toed shoes or for the colour of her coat, there's just a lot of history that you bear if you are a woman who puts herself out in the political arena.

On campus sexual assault:

I want to send a message to every survivor of sexual assault: Don’t let anyone silence your voice. You have the right to be heard. You have the right to be believed, and we’re with you

And yes, she has a sense of humour too:

If I want to knock a story off the front page, I just change my hairstyle

Now there's a novel idea!
