The experimental film by Haksar had its world premiere at the Mumbai International Film Festival. The film stars seasoned actors like Raghubir Yadav, Lokesh Jain, K Gopalan and Ravindra Sahu. It will release in theatres on June 10.

The experimental film—which won accolades at various international film festivals—revolves around the lives of four main characters: a pickpocket, a sweet and savoury snacks vendor, a labourer-activist and a conductor of ‘Heritage Walks’.

Haksar, while speaking to a publication, noted that although she is worried because hers is a small project which will compete against films like Samrat Prithviraj, she is happy since it’s a big milestone for independent filmmakers.

“While I worry if people will indeed come to see the film, it is a big milestone for Indie filmmakers. Independent filmmakers often don't get the opportunity to release their work. So that's certainly a cause for celebration,” she was quoted saying by Deccan Herald.
