Priyanka Chopra on writing Unfinished
Chopra has been sharing peeks into the release of Unfinished on her Instagram handle since last three days. She posted various video clips of her life’s highlights with the caption, “We all have a journey and a story to tell. #unfinished”. About her decision to pen a memoir, Chopra told PEOPLE magazine, “It seems like the right time to introspect on my life, that was my reason for writing the book,” revealing that it took her two years to finish it.”
Adding that she was nervous about releasing her memoir Priyanka Chopra further said in the interview, “This is me baring open, from the time I was a kid to when I got into pageants and what that felt like as someone who had no experience of the pageant world, and then being thrown into the Bollywood system and wanting to change my career path in my 30s, which is [a time when] girls are told it’s beyond our prime to start all over again,” Further saying that she had to push against the norm a lot through her whole life, and she has discussed that in her memoir “in-depth”.
Unfinished is expected to hit stands on January 19, 2021 as announced by Penguin Random House India on Friday.
