We Can Be Heroes Sequel, Priyanka Chopra We Can Be Heroes

Priyanka Chopra shared the first look of her upcoming film We Can Be Heroes on social media. The film also stars Pedro Pascal, Christian Slater, Boyd Holdbrook, and YaYa Gosselin. The film is directed by Robert Rodriguez, a filmmaker and visual effects supervisor, known for directing the Spy Kids series. We Can Be Heroes is set to release on January 1 in 2021 on Netflix.

 Chopra wrote on Twitter, “Wohooo! It’s finally here! Presenting the first look for - We Can Be Heroes!!!! It’s directed by the incredible Robert Rodriguez, and is coming to Netflix on New Year’s Day!!! A kids classic. Robert pretty much created this genre of movies. I'm so excited about introducing you to the tangled world of my character. More on this coming soon…”

As per the Entertainment Weekly report, We Can Be Heroes is a story about a superhero group. Pedro Pascal, Boyd Holbrook, and Christian Slater are members of a superhero group called Heroics and Priyanka Chopra is the Director of the Heroics. When Earth's superheroes get kidnapped by alien invaders, a group of kids step in to bring them back and save the world.

As per the report, We Can Be Heroes will also have cameos of superheroes from The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, an adventure film directed by Robert Rodriguez in 2005 starring Taylor Dooley and Taylor Lautner (of Twilight series fame).

Revealing the release date of We Can Be Heroes, Netflix shared a post that read, "It’s up to the kids to save Earth’s superheroes. Robert Rodriguez's WE CAN BE HEROES, starring YaYa Gosselin, Pedro Pascal, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Christian Slater, comes to Netflix globally January 1, 2021."

Priyanka Chopra will next be seen in the film The White Tiger alongside Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav. This film will also have a Netflix release worldwide. She is also working on her upcoming Hollywood film Matrix 4 along with Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Neil Patrick Harris. 

Chopra also signed a multimillion-dollar first-look deal with Amazon in July this year. First Look deal means that the production house will have first rights to consider a project by the actor and also on its distribution, by also providing financial assistance during the development period. She already has three projects in development at Amazon- Sangeet, a reality series based on the pre-wedding ceremony by the same name; Citadel, a thriller produced by the Russo brothers; and Sheela, a biopic on Maa Anand Sheela.

Her memoir Unfinished is also scheduled to be released on January 19, 2021. About her decision to pen the memoir, Chopra had said in an interview with People magazine, “It seems like the right time to introspect on my life, that was my reason for writing the book,” revealing that it took her two years to finish it.”
