Divyanka Tripathi Twitter reply to a troll asking her why she doesn't wear a dupatta won cheer on Tuesday. One of the most well-known faces on Indian television, the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor was faced with an outrageous remark from a social media user who enquired, "Why don't you wear a dupatta on Crime Patrol?"

Divyanka Tripathi Twitter Praise For Schooling Netizen Against Dress Policing

Tripathi, who is currently in Cape Town, South Africa shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi 11, received this remark about her dupatta under a news media update about herself. Other Twitter users too proceeded to protest against questioning women for their sartorial choices. 

"You wear shame, we won't have to wear dupatta," one user wrote to the troll. "Leave women's clothes, change your mindset and perhaps that will help crime to go down," another said. "It's her choice...she can do whatever she wants...apko dupatte se kya lena," another user wrote.

36-year-old Tripathi is a popular figure with a large following. She has close to two decades of work in the media and entertainment industry, with her most prominent successes being Banoo Main Teri Dulhann and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. She is married to Vivek Dahiya, her co-actor from the latter television show.
