BLACKPINK's Lisa Set To Drop Her Solo Album In June This Year

Lisa will be the third BLACKPINK member to have her own solo debut after Jennie and Rose.

BLACKPINK Lisa Solo Album to be out in June: BLACKPINK's Lisa is the next member to announce that she has an upcoming solo debut album after Rose from the group released her solo debut album titled R in March 2021. Lisa's solo debut is scheduled for June this year. This will make the 24-year-old the third BLACKPINK member to have her own solo debut after Jennie and Rose.

Jennie and Rose’s significant success with their solo debuts SOLO, which was released in 2018 and On The Ground released in 2021, have created much buzz and opened to great feedback from the band's fans.

YG Entertainment, the agency that manages the girl group, has not yet released an official date for the album or any music video. However, in a statement to The Korea Herald, the entertainment agency has previously confirmed that Lisa is currently “still working hard on the album”. Several Korean entertainment agencies have also hinted that Lisa’s solo debut album can be expected to be released by June 2021.

The 24-year-old idol herself confirmed that her solo debut is coming soon in an interview with Vogue Korea. She promised the fans that they will be seeing a new side of her. “My solo album is coming soon. As it’s my first solo album, we’re working hard to show you a new side of me. I’ll repay you with music and style that will show you my own colour. Please look forward to it,” Lisa said.

Who is Lisa?

Thailand-raised Korean artist began her journey in the music industry at the age of 14. The dancer and rapper's real name is, Lalisa Manoban. Apart from being the youngest member of BLACKPINK Lisa is also endearingly known as “maknae”, and she is the main dancer in group. Prior to her debut as a singer herself, Lisa had appeared in K-pop star Taeyang’s music video for the song Ringa Linga, as a background dancer. Read more about her here.
