Non-Indian actresses: Bollywood has become home to many outsiders. As the film industry grew and evolved, many foreigners were able to build a career as a Bollywood actor and took up roles that made them fan favourites.

Elli AvrRam being one of them has shared in her interviews how she aspired to be a Bollywood actor since her childhood. She said that she used to look for non-Indian faces in Bollywood films to motivate herself.

Born to a British father of Kashmiri descent and a British mother, Katrina is a British actor and model who is one of the most successful actresses in the industry. She made her debut with Boom in 2003 and the breakthrough of her career was Namastey London with actor Akshay Kumar. Over the years, Kaif has received huge popularity and fanbase. Recently, she crossed 50 million followers on Instagram.

Born in Bahrain, Fernandez holds a Sri Lankan nationality. She made her Bollywood debut with Aladin in 2009 with Ritiesh Deshmukh. She also won the beauty pageant, Miss Sri Lanka, in 2006 and had continued her modelling thereafter she completed her studies in Australia. She came to India on a modelling assignment and where she got movie offers in Bollywood.

Named Elisabet Avramidou Granlund, Elli hails from Sweden and holds Swedish nationality. She had participated in the Miss Sweden beauty contest in 2013. She made her debut on Indian television as a contestant on the reality show Bigg Boss 7 in 2013. Her Bollywood debut was with Manish Paul in Mickey Virus.

Nora is known for her belly dancing and spectacular moves in the industry. She is a Canadian national who was born in an Arabic-Moroccan family of Indian descent. She has appeared in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu movies and made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with the movie Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans. Nora also appeared in Bigg Boss 9 as a wild card entry in 2015.

Helen Jairag Richardson Khan was born to an Anglo-Indian father and a Burmese mother. She made her film debut with Awara in 1951 as a dancer. Her first non-dancing film was Hum Hindustani (1960). Helen made her name in the industry for her skills in dancing and was popularly known as H-Bomb during the 60s and 70s. In 2009, Helen was honoured with Padma Shri by the Indian government for her contributions to the Indian entertainment industry over the years.

Actress, model and singer, Nargis is an American national who was born to a Pakistani father and Czech mother and identifies herself as a global citizen. Fakhri made her debut in Bollywood as Heer Kaul in Rockstar (2011) with Ranbir Kapoor and won the Filmfare award for Best Female Debut. Nargis started her modelling career at the age of 16 and has appeared in many American reality shows.

British actress and model Amy Jackson has won three British beauty pageants at the age of 17. She works predominantly in Tamil and Hindi movies. Amy was first seen in Ekk Deewana Tha (2012) as Jessie in Bollywood. Before this, she made her debut in the entertainment industry with the Tamil film Madrasapattinam in 2010. Amy is popularly known for her role in movies like Singh is Bliing and 2.0.
