After a stupendous response in 2017, the SheThePeople.TV Women Writers’ Fest comes back to Kolkata for its 2018 edition. The day-long festival puts the spotlight on authors, writers, bloggers, and editors, featuring firebrand panelists from across genres.

The fest will provide a forum for women writers and a few men, from varied fields, be it script writing, blogging, books, theatre and more, to come together and discuss issues that are important to modern women.

The diverse range of participants on each panel will make for rich discussions on food, YA fiction, performance pieces, men writing women, politics and workshops, and is sure to inspire imagination, conversation and ultimately, change. Confirmed speakers include Swastika Mukherjee, Shutapa Paul, Rakhi Purnima Dasgupta, Bali D. Sanghvi, Srishti Nadhani, Devdan Chaudhuri, Ruchira Das, Kiran Manral, Baisali Chatterjee Dutt, Raksha Bharadia, and Sandip Roy amongst others.

This festival aims to focus the dialogue around women writers who are breaking new ground in content, style, and storytelling. The Women Writers’ Fest is organized by SheThePeople.TV and curated by Founder Shaili Chopra, Ideas Editor Kiran Manral and theatre personality and writer Baisali Chatterjee Dutt.
