Punewaali where we celebrate women of Pune. A special event series organized by SheThePeople.TV  where we engage conversations with women who observe and storify the city of Pune. Meet two stellar women who live in Pune city and have carved enviable niches for themselves. Both are feisty, passionate and go-getting when it comes to their chosen paths.

Meeta Makhecha and Uma Dhanwatey traveled to distant shores to follow their calling and hone their skills in their respective fields.
Chef Meeta learnt the secrets of the culinary art from some of the best in the space in California before returning to Pune to set up The Flour Works, making her one of the very few female chef -ledl restaurants in the city.
Uma trained in photography, following her passion for street photography and portraiture with experts in New York city and assisting ace photographers in Mumbai before setting up Uma Dhanwatey photography in Pune.
The session will be moderated by author Sudha Menon. Sudha Menon is a journalist and the author of four best-selling non-fiction books, including Leading Ladies: Women Who Inspire India, and   Devi, Diva or She-Devil: The smart career woman’s survival guide. She is  the founder of writing workshop series, Get Writing and Writing With Women.  Sudha has been a speaker on the prestigious TEDx and TiECon platforms and is an invited speaker on gender and diversity issues at corporate campuses and educational institutes.
