Bangalore Rani

Can women write humour? Can women be funny? This is a question that’s asked so often that it really isn’t funny any more. To discuss this, without frothing at the mouth, we have in the very first edition of Bangalore Rani, two panelists who have their funny bone firmly in place and their tongue lodged in their cheek, Andaleeb Wajid and Rachna Singh.

Andaleeb Wajid is a dyed in the wool Bangalorean, and the author of 13 novels published in eight years. She writes across genres from YA to romance to horror. Rachna Singh, the author of the hilarious Band, Bajaa and Boys, is an HR Professional and considers Baby Doll Main Sone Di as her anthem. The discussion will be moderated by Sunayana Roy, writer and editor, one of India’s foremost bloggers and a featured BBC blogger.

Bangalore Rani is an event that celebrates the women of Bangalore. From SheThePeople.TV, India's biggest online storytelling platform for women, Bangalore Rani puts the spotlight on women who are an integral part of the social, cultural and professional fabric of the city of Bangalore.
