Barsha Priyadarshini Accuses Husband BJD MP Anubhav Mohanty Of Domestic Violence
Barsha Priyadarshini, wife of BJD MP Anubhav Mohanty has accused him of domestic violence. The actress has alleged he has been assaulting her. Anubhav Mohanty is a BJD Lok Sabha MP from Kendrapara in Odisha and a former actor who married Barsha Priyadarshini in 2014. Barsha has filed a case of domestic violence against him at a court in Cuttack under section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. Her alleged complaint against Mohanty is that he assaulted and harassed her. The matter has been listed in the court for hearing on 7 September .

Barsha Priyadarshini’s Accusation
In the petition, she has allegedly accused her husband to be an alcoholic and a womaniser. In her plea, Barsha has demanded house rent of Rs 20,000 per month, maintenance of Rs 50,000 per month, a compensation of Rs 13 crore, loss of earnings and medical expenses of Rs 2 crore from her husband.
On the other hand, actor-turned-politician Anubhav said, “I have not got any legal notice yet. I will let everyone know about it when I receive the notice. Let’s wait till then,”
Has Anubhav Mohanty filed for Divorce?
According to Odisha TV’s report, the lawmaker has filed a 47-page divorce petition in Delhi’s Patiala court. In his petition, the BJD leader has reportedly alleged that his wife was not having sexual relations. The actress Barsha Priyadarshini had apparently said ‘no’ to sexual relation on the first day of marriage and waited for three to four months to get into physical relations in their marriage. He also mentioned in the petition that he was always respectful of her decision.
He, further stated as per reports, “His wife mentally tortured him and his family. Even though we were married from 2016-till date, we have stayed together only for a period of 18 months. And these 18 months were ‘full of cruelty, tyranny, misery, harassment and suffering’ for my family.
