Nil Battey Sannata sparkles of brilliance: lead actors are breath life into their parts and the debutant director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari is simply fantastic in her first attempt. Cinematic Kudos aside the movie deserves the highest praise for a fantastic message: Don’t Follow Your Dreams Chase them

How often in our professional careers do we forget why we chose our profession in the first place? What hopes did you have of yourself and your career when you start? What dream did you stop chasing because life caught up with you?

I watched the movie mesmerized and some very personal moments lived & breathed on the big screen for me as I jogged down memory lane to find out the answers for myself. I hope you have the same experience when you watch the movie

Here are 3 reasons why Nil Battey Sannata infuses energy and passion into MY Dreams & Hopes of MYself

  1. Never give up on your dreams, EVER: Always have hopes of yourself & surround yourself with people who have hopes of you

A very emotional scene in the film shows Apeaksha how hard her Chanda Sahay works because she has never given up on hope of her Appu to become something.

When the world says, "Give up,"

Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."

Hope is Precious, Hope is sometimes all you have but without Hope you cease to live and to dream and to achieve. Hence, have hopes of yourself and ensure you have a great set of believers around you who reinforce the strength of their hopes in YOU, from YOU and of YOU so that you never stop believing and hoping

2. You are the master of your destiny

As hard as that is to believe, knowing you can control and master your destiny has to be the single differentiating factor between those who do and those who want to do.

There is no substitute for hard work and we all know that. But knowing that you can persist until you achieve what you have set eye on, is empowering. It helps pick you up when you are down and feel it’s your fate to not succeed.  Well, if destiny wills failure, at least face it with resilience and strength. You would be glad you did.

3. It is OK to Fail, Not OK to never have tried at all

Too old, Too poor, Too many responsibilities, Too many social stigmas – that didn’t deter Chanda Sahay to seek education and opportunity for herself while setting an example for her daughter. She feared failure just like you and I do but did she give up before even trying to put up a good fight and gave it all she had?

Try again. Fail again. Fail better. ~Samuel Beckett
