Jenner posted a video on Twitter saying, “I have a message for President Trump from, well one Republican to another. This is a disaster. And you can still fix it. You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community.”

Jenner is known as one of the important faces for transgender people. And she was also a Republican who had been an early supporter of Trump’s.

A year ago, Trump had said that “people should use the bathroom they feel appropriate”.

Trump’s move has been criticised by gay rights supporters around the world. Singer Jackie Evancho, who performed at the President’s inauguration ceremony, has a transgender sister and has said that she is disappointed by the decision.

Reactions on Twitter varied from condemning Jenner for supporting Trump in the first place, to lauding her for now standing up to him.
