The Olympian wrestler was last seen in her ambitious preparation for this season of Colors TV’s adventure reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 8’ . Though she didn’t win the show, her participation made her the reality show all the more exciting.

After the release of the Aamir Khan-starrer, Bollywood film ‘Dangal’, Geeta became an role model for aspiring women wrestlers. It’s needless to say that the movie was just the right tonic to fuel the Phogat sisters’ ambitions. Geeta was one the main participants in the reality show and earned more bucks than the others.
While the other contestants are pretty much confident, all eyes were on Geeta Phogat’s strategy, on how she would use her wrestling turns and techniques. The show was definitely fun to watch.
Heartily congratulations Geeta Phogat on your this winning feat. Wish you good luck 4 more deserving medals. Keep bringing laurels 2 India. https://t.co/WZAZsL8SVK

At the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, Geeta won a gold medal while her sister Babita won silver. After that, they won medals at World Championships and Geeta became the first woman wrestler from India to qualify for the Olympics. Babita bettered her 2010 Commonwealth Games feat by winning a gold in 2014 edition, which eventually helped her to seal a spot at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
