Christmas Is Officially On: Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande & Jennifer Hudson Gift Us 'Oh Santa!' Remix

Christmas is officially upon us! Not simply because we've entered December, but because the crown queen of the holiday season, Mariah Carey, has blessed fans with a trademark Christmas song, this time in collaboration with singers Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson. The remix, titled Oh Santa! is a remake of Carey's own track from her 2010 album Merry Christmas II You. The 2020 version is a part of Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special premiering December 4 on AppleTV+.

Renowned for her Christmas music releases, 50-year-old Carey's Magical Christmas Special on AppleTV+ has been one of her most anticipated projects, given the star-studded lineup it boasts. Aside from Grande and Hudson, the musical features Snoop Dogg, Tiffany Haddis, Billy Eichner, Misty Copeland, Mykal-Michelle Harris, and an adorable appearance by Carey's twin children, son Moroccan and daughter Monroe.

About The Oh Santa! Remix

In October, Carey had teased a picture from the sets of the song, featuring three directors' chairs with the singers' initials.

The much-awaited Oh Santa! remix has been dropped on the same day as the special streams on AppleTV+. Grande too shared clips of the music video on Instagram with her fans.

How To Watch Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special

Talking about collaborating with Grande and Hudson on the remix of her celebrated 2010 song, Carey told Billboard, "I think it was all about the actual event, of course, of doing 'Oh Santa!' with Jennifer and Ari, but it was also like, how do I see this as a producer? Because originally, I was blending with myself, which that's kind of one of my favourite things, but it was cool to be able to work with the different vocal textures and play around with it and reimagine it. So that's what happened. And visually, in the special, it really does feel like a girl group moment. I think we all had a good time with it. That was the fun part about it."

While the Oh Santa! remix is available on YouTube, Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special is at present only streaming on AppleTV+. Viewers with subscriptions can access the special on the app.
