Two Indian-American women finalists for White House Fellows program

Two Indian origin women are among finalists for prestigious White House Fellows programme. It will bring them first-hand experience of working at the top levels of the US government.

Tina Shah who is a physician from the University of Chicago along with Anjali Tripathi an astrophysics Ph.D student at Harvard University, have been shortlisted for the program according to a release.

Shah and Tripathi were among the 30 finalists selected for the programme, founded in 1964 by President Lyndon B Johnson.

The President's Commission on White House Fellowships will evaluate the national finalists in Washington, DC from June 9-12, a media release said. The White House in a statement has said that this year's class of finalists represents an accomplished and diverse cross-section of professionals from private sector, academia, medicine, and armed services.
