Tatiana Maslany accepts the award for outstanding lead actress in a drama series for “Orphan Black”.

The stars came out dressed to the nines at the 2016 Emmys, which is the yearly recognition of excellence in American primetime television programming. And the ladies made their presence felt, with many of the talented actresses winning awards for some powerhouse performances.

Here are some of the ladies who took the Emmy trophy home:

The highly anticipated award for the Best Actress in Drama Series was won by Tatiana Maslany of Orphan Black. it was a tough competition between her and Viola Davis, How to Get Away With Murder, Claire Danes. Homeland,Taraji P. Henson, Empire.

Maisie William of Game of Thrones was a hot favourite to win the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, but Maggie Smith of Downton Abbey took home the award.

It was a proud and emotional moment for Sarah Paulson, when she held the trophy for the Best Actress in a Limited Series or a Television Movie for The People v O.J Simpson, and we just loved her speech.

Susanne Bier won the award for The Night Manager in the category of Best Direction for a Limited Series.

It was a glorious night for Regina King of American Crime, she looked every bit glamorous as she held the trophy for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series.

Our personal favorite for the night was Julia Louis-Dreyfus of Veep who won the award of Best Actress in a Comedy Series.

Kate McKinnon, of Saturday Night Live won many hearts as she walked the stage in style and won the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series

The ladies looked good, and they were the picture of grace. We love them all!
