Pop star Taylor Swift has said that radio DJ Mueller had groped her in an incident in June 2013. The star delivered a testimony against him in a civil trial on Thursday (August 10). She described the incident as “horrifying and shocking”. She said that he had touched her inappropriately while backstage at a meet-and-greet at Denver’s Pepsi Centre in June 2013.

“I am critical of your client for sticking his hand under my skirt and grabbing my ass,” Swift told his lawyer.

Mueller is a radio DJ for KYGO, and Swift’s team had told the organisation about the incident shortly after it happened. KYGO then fired Mueller two days later, after conducting its own investigation.

However, in 2015, Mueller sued Swift, her mother and her radio promotions director Frank Bell. He denied Swift’s accusation against him. Swift then filed a counter-suit. She said that Mueller reached under her dress and grabbed her while they were posing for a photo.

Swift denied the possibility that she had misidentified Mueller. She said she knows it was him.

“I’m not going to allow you or your client to make me feel in any way that this is my fault, because it isn’t. I am being blamed for the unfortunate events of his life that are a product of his decisions and not mine,” she said.

Mueller’s lawyer even asked her why the front of her skirt did not appear to be lifted.

“Because my ass is located in the back of my body,” Swift said.

The photographer, who was taking the photo, said that Swift had made a funny move during the photo and that she had an uncomfortable look on her face. He also said that he saw Mueller’s hand on her behind.

A jury of six women and two men are to decide the civil trial.

Swift’s fans are speaking out in her support, and slamming the trolls who think that she is merely trying to get attention:
