The shirts were swapped by the players' combined effort of showing the world what is the real power of women. Sweden's new national team donned the jerseys to send out feature tweets where on their backs words like "Believe in your damn self" (singer Zara Larsson saying), "the future is female" and "I'm not bossy, I'm the boss" are written in lucid manner, giving out a translucent message of empowering more women.

The initiative is now trending as #InYourName, ensuring the leverage given to other women to stimulate more action through more discourse and to act in support of each other and themselves to show that anything is achievable if one is willing to.

The silver medalist at the Rio Olympics in 2016, these dedicated women is breaking the internet with their new move and just so you know, Sweden's national women's soccer team is much more successful than Sweden's men's team.

The shirts were released this week as the team is gearing up to participate in the upcoming Algarve Cup.

Captain Lotta Schelin chose a message from the Swedish politician Gudrun Schyman, says “never look down on someone unless it is to help her up.” She further added, “The national team shirt is an important symbol and it constantly reminds us that we can win whatever game it is in whatever competitions. I think it is great that we can join forces with other strong women and that we together can show that everything is possible. There is always a need to show young women that it is possible to succeed and that no one should feel limited in what they can achieve and particularly not because of their sex,” The Guardian reported.

The football jerseys will be put on sale on March 8th, in celebration of International Women's Day.

10% of the cash made from the Swedish Football Association’s kit  will go to a Swedish group that supports young female athletes.

Niklas Bodell, the communications director at the Swedish FA, said: “The initiative is first and foremost to, with the help of the national team, highlight the power that comes with doing things together and the women’s team’s success is a good example of that. We also hope that it can inspire people to stand up for each other, notwithstanding who you are or where you come from.”
