On Saturday, she fired a five-under-par 67 to snatch the third-round lead. Lin currently holds a 54-hole lead. With a sparkling back-nine, her rank on the leaderboard escalated with four birdies in the last six holes. She took a one-shot lead over Australia's Hannah Green and South Korea's Park In-bee.

  1. Lin Xiyu turned into a professional golfer in the year 2011 and started playing on the China LPGA Tour, where she has won seven times till now. In 2013, she began playing on the Ladies European Tour. The golf player has two wins on the tour, the Sanya Ladies Open 2014 and 2015. In the year 2014, she started playing on the LGPA Tour. At the 2015 Blue Bay LGPA, she had the best finish of T-5.
  2. On the LPGA tour, Lin has made multiple holes-in-one and also competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics finishing 38th.
  3. Some of the player's other wins include the 2012 Tian Jing Challenge, Srixon XXIO Ladies Open, 2013 Sanya's Hills Ladies Classic, 2019 Macalline Women's China Open and 2018 ALPG Ballarat Icons Pro-Am.
  4. In 2016, the Lin Xiyu appeared in The UL International Crown, representing China. It is a biennial women's professional team golf tournament on the LPGA tour.
  5. Lin, who splits her time between China and the U.S got a driver's license in the States a few years back but at that time she didn't own a car. However, a year later she won a car at the Honda LGPA Thailand. The sponsor was gifting a new car to the player who would make a hole-in-one on the 16th during the tournament. She was the first one to win the car.
