Singer R Kelly Accused Of Controlling Women In 'Cult'

An investigation by BuzzFeed News has found that singer R Kelly was apparently controlling and brainwashing a series of women into what their parents call a ‘cult’. BuzzFeed has found that there were at least five women involved as of the summer of 2016.

Kelly apparently confiscated the women’s phones, filmed sexual activity with them, made the women call him daddy. He would make them ask for their food, and even to go to the bathroom.

The mother of one woman who is still living with Kelly, spoke about the last time she saw her daughter. “It was as if she was brainwashed. looked like a prisoner – it was horrible. I hugged her and hugged her. But she just kept saying she’s in love, and is the one who cares for her,” said the mother.

The family of another girl said that they are unable to contact her. One of Kelly’s former acquaintances, Kitty Jones, has even spoken about how he had slapped her and pushed her against a tree, because he thought she was being too friendly to an employee at Subway.

He also makes them dress in jogging suits because he doesn’t want them to look appealing to anyone else.

However, the police in Illinois and Georgia have found nothing illegal about the situations. One of the women even told the police that she was fine and didn’t want to be bothered with her parents.

Kelly’s lawyer has also denied the accusations.

“We can only wonder why folks would persist in defaming a great artist who loves his fans, works 24/7, and takes care of all of the people in his life,” said his lawyer in a statement.

But Kelly doesn’t have the best reputation. In 2008, he was acquitted of child pornography. He had been accused of filming himself having sex with a 14-year-old girl. He has also allegedly had an illegal marriage to R&B star Aaliyah when she was 15.

The singer turned 50 in January and is one of the biggest R&B stars.
