Oliveira had a keen interest in space and astronomy since the age of two. She expressed an interest in pursuing an astronomy course at the tender age of five.

Oliveira, who is now eight years old, received a certificate of recognition for managing to find as many as seven asteroids after participating in a citizen science program organised by the IASC, of which NASA is also a member.

According to a report by Brazilian news organisation R7, the Brazilian girl, who was fascinated by stars from a tender age asked for a star from her mother when she was two years old. Following the same, Oliveira's mother bought her a toy star. However, now she knows that her daughter wanted a real star.

Oliveira who is also the youngest member of Alagoas Astronomical Studies Cente (CEAAL), was initially turned down on her participation in the CEAAL by the organisation's president as she was underage. Oliveira waited and on turning six, she participated in the course.

After learning that Oliveira is the youngest member of the Alagoas Astronomical Studies Center, the Brazilian Ministry invited her for delivering lectures. She has also visited multiple schools where she lectured as an astronomer.

However, all of Oliveira's events have been conducted online as of now owing to the current Covid-19 pandemic.
