The plot of the series revolves around Steven Grant, a gift shop employee. He is a mild-mannered man who suffers from blackouts and flashbacks from a previous life. Then he realizes that he is suffering from dissociative identity disorder, which is a mental health condition wherein a person has multiple and distinct personalities and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. Marc and Steven’s opponents become one, and they band together. This necessitates Steven and Marc’s ability to manage their divergent personalities. They also investigate the mighty gods of Egypt’s hidden powers.
