US-based mom, Celia Sanchez, has created a powerful photo project, titled ‘Devoted’, which showcases moms who are not afraid to retain their individuality and personal style.

US-based mom, Celia Sanchez, has created a powerful photo project, titled ‘Devoted’, which showcases moms who are not afraid to retain their individuality and personal style.

Sanchez, who is 32, became a mom when she was 23.  "I didn’t look like the other moms. They were much older than me. I just felt kind of separated from them."

She tells Huffington Post that she was often told that she doesn’t look like a mother, and she found that was such a silly thing to say. So she decided to redefine what that statement means. She reached out to her friends who were in similar situations and started photographing them. She has been working on the project for the past three years.

She hopes that the project will inspire people not to judge a book by its cover!
